We are pleased to announce that Chiara Rabbito is our newly appointed Town Development Manager for New Milton Town Council. The main aim of the post is to raise the profile of the town and deliver a high-quality environment meeting the needs of local businesses, residents, and visitors alike.
By establishing strong business relationships with all local and county organisations, the intent is the Town Development Manager will oversee and co-ordinate funding garnering support for initiatives and projects to benefit New Milton.
Born and raised in the area, Chiara joins us from a career in television, working across entertainment, factual and comedy programming for major broadcasters such as BBC, Channel 4, Sky and ITV. A successful producer, Chiara worked on many well-loved shows including, Strictly Come Dancing, Children in Need, Total Wipeout and The One Show.
Chiara’s background in telling real life stories, reaching out to communities, and getting to the core of its people, along with her creative flair and ability, developing relationships and building successful partnerships, will be essential ensuring the success of the Town Development role.
Chiara grew up in the local area, attending Priestlands Comprehensive and Brockenhurst College, later attaining her Hons Degree in Natural Science. Prior to a career in television, Chiara managed shops locally and on the high street and project managed for another local digital business.
Chiara said “I am thrilled to join the team at New Milton Town Council and step into the role of Town Development Manager. I am passionate about the area, its community and businesses, and support growth that will enable the town to reach its full potential – a thriving town, with the people at its core. Creating a place where people want to visit and enjoy living. I champion equality, diversity and progress, coming from the area myself, attending its schools, before leaving the area to find new opportunities. I am keen to improve local opportunities and choices to enable the younger generation to remain in the area”.
