New Milton Town Council have supported the Friends of the Indian Soldiers Group in arranging the Annual Commemoration taking place today at the Indian Memorial Obelisk in Barton on Sea.

 

The Act of Remembrance will start at 1pm (expected duration 30 minutes) and will include the Last Post, Exhortation, Reveille and Kohima, followed by prayers and blessings and wreath-laying.

 

We look forward to welcoming invited guests and members of the public to assemble in remembrance of the contribution of the Indian Soldiers during World War 1.
