Cllr Alvin Reid has just had a progress meeting with SGN reference the gas main replacement works in Bashley.
Main points are:
1. Work is on schedule with the excavations well under way.
2. Phase 1 pipe work (cattle grid to Marlpit lane) on schedule for replacement on Thursday.
3. Change of signage will be considered at the Rising Sun to emphasise Tiptoe Road is not a suitable diversion.
4. Additional signage will be considered at St John’s Road and Wooton Rough to stop this road being used as a short cut.
